After long consideration
It has happened again: we are currently enjoying our 19th Maldives stay this time at Veligandu Island Resort & Spa in Rasdhoo Atoll, just 20 minutes seaplane transfer from the capital Male. For a long time we thought about whether we should afford a second vacation to the Maldives this year. Due to the current global economic situation, prices have risen significantly, especially for us Europeans. Nevertheless, we booked because the longing was already too great, we don’t treat ourselves much else and are of the opinion that the prices will not change to our advantage in the foreseeable future.
Veligandu - a dream island
We had heard and read a lot about Veligandu, so this island had been on our list for a long time. It’s often rated as a casual barefoot island with very good food. After a week we can underline this and are surprised at how much we like this resort. It had rained extremely hard since the end of August, which was an incredible amount of rainfall even for the rainy season. Unfortunately, we were caught cold and wet the first three days. Meanwhile the weather is dry and mostly sunny. We are now looking forward to the second half of our holiday with great pleasure and continue to enjoy the food, the house reef, the various activities and the evening programme.
